Lunch & Learn: Breast Cancer & Physical Activity – Get Moving To Reduce Your Risk
October 19, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Factors known to be protective for breast cancer include maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in regular moderate or vigorous exercise. Unfortunately, exercise remains an underused preventive strategy, with objective studies observing fewer than 10% of US adults engaging in the recommended amount of physical activity. Join Buckeye Wellness and Dr. Sagar Sardesai, Assistant Professor of Oncology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, as we implement strategies for clinicians to motivate patients to make behavioral changes for a healthier lifestyle.
Healthy lunches and beverages will be provided. Biometric screenings, Faculty Staff Fitness Program, and Comprehensive Cancer Center will available for sign ups and questions from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. outside of the Ross Heart Hospital auditorium.
This event is sponsored by Buckeye Wellness and is open to all faculty, staff, and students.
The webcast will be available at go.osu.edu/HealthandWellnessLunchandLearn (not active until program starts). The program will be available at 11:58 a.m. and will last approximately 50 minutes. To view the webinar, copy and paste the link above into your Internet Explorer or Firefox web browser. Webcast viewers will not be able to submit questions for the Q&A session at the end of the program.
