Lunchtime Yoga

September 5 @ 11:45 am - 12:30 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Yoga is recognized by the National Institutes of Health as being one of the top 10 evidence-based complementary health approaches to address serious problems such as depression, lower back pain and hypertension. As a holistic mind-body practice, Yoga combines physical activity with breath-focused mindfulness techniques. Geetha Sampathkumar, an experienced Yoga professional, will lead lunchtime yoga classes that combine traditional Hatha (physical yoga postures), Vinyasa (a flowing sequence in which movements are coordinated with breath) and restorative Yoga. The classes are appropriate for everyone, as we suggest modifications to students based on their needs and comfort levels. Geetha emphasizes a strong mind/body connection, and she looks forward to sharing her philosophy with open-minded and curious people from all walks of life.

This event is sponsored by Buckeye Wellness and is open to all faculty, staff, students and family members over the age of 18. If you have not already filled out a waiver form for any Buckeye Wellness Group Fitness class, please do so here before attending class.
