Memory Loss Educational Event
December 3, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Everyone forgets things at times. Some degree of memory problems is a fairly common part of aging. But there’s a difference between normal age-related changes in memory and memory loss associated with disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. Join experts from Ohio State’s Memory Disorder Clinic on Monday, Dec. 3 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care – Pavilion auditorium for a free educational event. Douglas Scharre, MD, neurologist and director of the Center for Cognitive and Memory Disorders, will discuss the differences between normal aging and mild cognitive impairment, the importance of early detection and screening of memory problems and treatment options available today. Attendees will be able to ask questions, hear the latest memory loss research and sign up for research studies. Individuals with a family history of dementia are particularly encouraged to attend.
