Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

The Mindfulness Clinic at the Psychological Services Center offers evidence-based treatment for people coping with stress. Therapy is offered via Zoom in a group-based setting to help people build a lifestyle to support healthy stress coping strategies.
All therapy will begin with an initial clinical interview during which clients will be asked to complete a series of psychological questionnaires and cognitive assessments to screen for psychological symptoms and current problems. Following the initial clinical interview, clients will attend an eight-week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) intervention program.
The first week of class will last 3 hours, all subsequent classes will last 2.5 hours.
Two group classes will be offered Spring of 2021:
- Monday classes: 4:00pm – 6:30pm (beginning February 15th, 2021)
- Tuesday classes: 10:00am – 12:30pm (beginning February 16th, 2021)
Between week 6 and week 7 classes, clients will be asked to attend a 4-hour retreat on Saturday, March 27th or Sunday, March 28th at 9:00am. Following the eight-week intervention, all clients will be asked to complete a final clinical interview to review changes in psychological symptoms, current problems, and stress coping strategies.
