Thank You For Listening

March 29 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Listening deeply is the port of entry to realizing the quality of our connections to our healthcare providers, caregivers, loved ones, and patients. To listen and being listened to is what allows us to relate to others with real intention. Steven Covey once said, “most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply”. We spend a lot of time teaching vocabulary, and little time teaching the value of silence and listening. Most of us think about what we can say that will make a difference. Could we consider the possibility that the quality of our listening can make an equally powerful difference? Through this experiential workshop, participants will create opportunities to explore the foundational qualities for their interpersonal skills, including our blocks to true listening.
