Walk With Ease Virtual Walking Group

The Arthritis Foundation’s Walk with Ease program is a physical activity and self-management education program. While walking is the central activity, Walk with Ease is a multi-component program that also includes health education, stretching and strengthening exercises, and motivational strategies. Walk with Ease was specifically developed for adults with arthritis who want to be more physically active but is designed for everyone with or without arthritis! The only requirement is that the participant must be able to stand on their feet for at least 10 minutes.

This series is a virtual group meeting one time a week for six weeks to understand the basics about arthritis and the relationship between arthritis, exercise, and pain, as well as to learn how to exercise safely and comfortably. Health coach and trained group exercise leader, Alison Barney, will discuss specified topics related to exercise and arthritis each week. Participants are encouraged to walk independently at least three times per week as a part of the program as well as perform stretching and strengthening exercises demonstrated by the leader.

This is a six session series on Wednesdays from 12:30pm to 1:00pm starting on 8/10/22 and ending on 9/14/22. You will be automatically enrolled for all six sessions (8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31, 9/7 & 9/14) when you register for the first session.
