Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) - Your Plan for Health

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

A Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) is an employer-funded account from which you can be reimbursed tax-free for eligible heath care expenses. Faculty and staff enrolled in an Ohio State medical plan will be able to earn HRA credits after completing a variety of wellness activities as part of the YP4H Incentive Program. HRA credits can be used to pay for expenses such as copayments, deductibles and coinsurance.

In 2018, enrolled participants will be able to earn up to $250 in HRA credits. Another $250 can be earned by your enrolled spouse or same-sex domestic partner. If you do not use all of your HRA credits in 2018, they will roll over to the following year and you can use them to pay for future health care costs while enrolled in Ohio State’s Faculty and Staff Health Plans.
